  • Don’t Leave Laptop in Car

car bootA sad day, I received a call from my good friend, told me that his laptop was stolen at Sri Hartamas yesterday night. He placed the laptop in the car boot, the thief break the car windows, open up the boot of the car and steal the laptop

Please my friend, DON’T EVER LEAVE YOUR LAPTOP IN THE CAR / CAR BOOT. This is 4th of my friend laptop got stolen. The truth is, no matter you the laptop store in the boot or hide underneat the seat, covered with blanket or jacket, there is a detector to detect electronic devices in your car. Once the thief detected, they will try to break your car and take the laptop/handphone/ipod/other gadgets.

    Case 1
My friend went to supper in the mid night, he left the laptop at the back seat and cover with jacket. After the meal, the laptop gone, car handle is broken.

    Case 2
My friend went to restaurant take away food in the afternoon, she left the laptop at the back seat, she thought it will be ok because only took 5 minutes to order. Who knows, after 5 minutes the laptop is gone and car’s windows is broken.

    IBM X40Case 3
My friend went to watch movie at Mid Valley, left the laptop in the boot. After movie, the car handle is broken, he immediately check the boot, laptop was stolen.

The most important stuff in the laptop is the data, once you lose it, the works is gone, source code gone, private stuff gone, even worst if you have private stuff like Tammy’s video, and self portrait nude pictures.

I have a bad habit, which I bring my laptop along whenever I left my car, going to 7-11 buy junk food, filling up petrol, buy SportToto/Magnum4D, collect document from friends or etc. I remember some friend teased I am proud/show off I have a laptop because I bring it along wherever I am, nah.. When you lose it you will know the pain.

Learn my bad habit. Does car lock/alarm helps?

  • Eyes Feel Tired

A Stand FanWhen I’m doing work in my room, after half an hour, my eyes feel very tired, sleepy, can’t open up my eyes. But when I am doing work in the living room, I don’t have the feeling, even I sit on the floor whole day, I can’t even feel my eyes is pain, tired, can’t open, but ass is pain la.

So, I observe a while in my room, now I know why. For a dumb person like me, I didn’t notice the stand fan is actually blowing directly to my eyes, that’s why my eyes feel pain. How stupid I am, so now I place the fan at a better “feng shui” position, now feeling better.

    Continue work…

p/s: Panasonic stand fan is a good fan, I would like turn on air cond but I can’t afford the electric bil, thanks Uncle Lim.

  • Restaurant Food Price Hike Too

After the petrol price hike, I read from the newspaper that prices of restaurant food also increased, starting 1st of March. So how much does a noodle cost us now? RM4? RM3.80? It’s damn expensive, RM6 to have lunch. Everything has increased now, except our salary, still the same.

I read some of the readers comments that our petrol price is still considered low compared with US or others countries. But I think most of them missed out some points. First of all, their vehicle prices are lower than our country. Their living standards are higher than us. Prime Minister stressed that the petrol price hike only happen ONE time this year. Then what about next year? Will it be one-shot 50cents? For me, 30cents is really a lot, because of the hike, a lot of daily-use stuff will become more expensive. Don’t you consider all of this?

Besides that, there is a protest this evening, 2pm, at KLCC. For me, the protest is useless, the government doesnt bother about the protest. They might treat it as a bunch a people walking pass the street, and Malaysian policemen have something to do, a little bit busy than normal day, time to show how many FRU we have in KL.

How to save more money? It’s hard for me now.
