TMNet Streamyx Poor Service

I received an email from my reader. He wanted to voice out how poor/bad/terrible TMNet Support center is. This is my help for him, by publishing his email to me.

Again, I am tired of making complain to TMNet too, recently I have problem with TMNet Hotspot, called them, they asked me to restart the router. I told them DHCP problem, cannot assign IP Address to me, they ask me restart router. Then I know the support people is a dumbass, they don’t know what is DHCP, they only thing they know is “restart router”. Wasted my time talking to him and to her(I called 3 times, 3 diffferent people, giving me the same solution). Can you see how lame the support people are?

It’s TMNet Hotspot, how you want me to restart the router? Furthermore a lot of places provide TMNet Hotspot are having the same problem, it’s impposible all the router have the same problem right? If it’s then it shows TMNet use a very very low end and poor quality hardware to cons subscribers money. Why Timenet can provide free wireless but TM can’t? It’s a shame, for a Malaysia giant/premier telco company.

After all, I think it’s staff attitude problem, not company problem. Not all Telekom Malaysia’s staffs have bad attitude, but most of them are.

Since i subscribe streamx, it has been always disconnect…..especially when i am back from work. So what for i pay for the bill since i cant use it when I need it???i subscride stramyx is because of 24hours service… but what i think now, all is just a big lie to all the Malaysian.

Then when i ever i meet the disconnect problem, i called them. But the problem is nobody is picking up the phone. they said their service is 24 hours.But WHY nobody picking up the phone. So, i wondering wether they are sleeping o what!!! So this kind of service they provide to the customer.

After i cant get from the streamyx, so i called up for the dial up 1515. i did that because they are same company, and they get the salary from the same boss. But what i get from them is a rude manner. they js convert my call to the streamyx department which there is nobody picking up the phone. So i straight complain to them and i asked the officer talk to me. So a operator admit her as one of the officer. She told that her name is “Nazami”. But the way she speak to me is very and extreamly rude. she is bang my phone and straight convert to the streamyx department. So i fed up and i called her again. Then she just go on scolded at me. Come on, is this service they given. I am not her husband or boy friend tat i need to stand her. Instead i am a customer, and customer is always right!!!!then i called again another guy picking up the phone, the guy had apologized to me. But what i want now is the girl apologize to me because of her rude and suck manner!!!

I was already sad that day because of the disconnection and i couldnt contact my boy friend in
vietnam. and then i get that suck service. So it is really hurt and make me fed up. So if the girl is not going to apologize to me, i will not stop complaining. i may complain to the media. I know it is useless to complain to the streamyx. But the action should be taken and find the girl to apologize to me.

Actually, before i subscride it, i faced a lot of problem. For example the promotion is totally different from store to store. And what the agent told me that they just lik direct sales. But please Direct sale also has their system. And what a international company- TMNET is so unsystematic??? So there is a Question mark!!!!

If oneday, i really need the tmnet service, may be i been lock by somebody in my house, i want to seek help by usiing tmnet. What i can tell is i surely will be DIE!!!

So i think this is the kind of service they given !!!

    line很不稳定

  3. er, I have a feeling you are definitely not aware that ALL TMNET tech support are outsourced!!! now it makes sense why they might not know/aware of your problems, and just tell you what to do according to the “script” blindly

    try to stop us for using it,u’ll feel it if ur using bitcomet kind of

Malaysia government just like Katak di bawah tempurung (Frog unda the well)!!! Look at the tmnet staff, their worst attitude,their urgly face! If there are robot in tmnet i rather ask robot to fix my streamyx problem.

  6. Me too… Why the services always “DISCONNECTED”??? Why the people always made complaint TM services??? Why don’t improve their services ??? Why TM Streamyx always do the promotion ??? Is it services o.k??? I don’t think so. Why I still use Streamyx ??? BECAUSE NO CHOICE FOR US !!! Why their said “Malaysia Boleh”??? This services also can called “BOLEH”??? If got choice I immediately cut off the Streamyx line!!!

  7. did he sound angry in his email to tmnet support? i emailed tmnet, and they replied quite late (4 days i think). but the lady who replied was very apologetic and her english was understandable. she answered all my ques except the part on the experimental 8mbits

    they are the suckest internet provider in the world
    the most expensive
    the most inefficient
    and the worst customers support
    well , in other country like taiwan , 8mbps only worth about rm40
    well they said in ads they provide the best internet speed (go to hell)
    my streamyx works like 56k and nobody cares
    i only get 50kbps after i do some overclocking
    and b4 tat , my overclock can amke my connection boosted to 130kbps
    and without these tweaking ( itried after formatting my machine)
    it only run in 3-4kbps (motherfucking sux )

    Sad to say, I don’t know when our doom day will come if those in authority or in services haven’t bothered to re-evaluate and polish up themselves in the very near future. “International” is only what we called ourselves, not what outside think we are.

  13. Thing is…this is indeed the Malaysian service industry. When we go to a public toilet and they ask us to pay 50cents and the toilet smells really bad, is the 50cents for using a clean toilet or is it to pay for peeing?. They build a highway and implement the toll system. Do we pay for a faster and congestion free highway or do we just pay to be allowed to drive?. They introduce broadband connection. Do we pay the different rates for speed or we just pay to get online?. The problem is..they dont seem to understand the meaning of the word “service” as compared to many countries aboard. Malaysian service means we pay to use, not pay because we want more efficiency and reliability. Transparency and accountability are all just words. No matter who is incharge…no matter which company..no matter if part of their corporate creed states the best in customer service….at end day, it is about making a few individual richer and those few individuals will not pay an extra cent to offer even a bare minimum of service. Sadly this is Malaysia with its attitude. To change, people need to stop complaining and start protesting in real. If 1 million people stop paying streamyx, do you think they will try to do better?. Will people just say “aiyooo bear with it lah”?. The general public here is ever tolerant and forgiving…complains pours in but oh heck after all this is Malaysia and it will get better and soooooo lets be patient about it. That is why things never change here for any better but only on the surface with plenty of worms underneath.

    So what do we do? 3 options….get out of the country, live with it or protest as a community not as an individual.

  15. That is one hilarious complaint letter. I hope the tmnet’s top management or CEOs are listening. But they probably won’t have the time to deal with complaints because they are so devoted to golf.

    If the service is bad, don’t pay the bill. They won’t bother to chase after all. Because their attitude is always to stay relax. Tidak apa one.. don’t pay don’t pay la… it’s not my company ma.. you want to complain complain la…..

    Because streamyx is the sole provider in Malaysia so they can be lame, rude and not listening to customers. Those who cannot live without connection have to bare with them.. which is very sad. I hope Maxis will manage to steal their business and teach them a lesson. But most probably Maxis and tmnet are just abang and adik…

  16. hi paul n guys, how have u been lately? still as it used to be? got pissed by “the world’s best broadband service provider”?

    i got to know some information from a friend, i guess it was a news o an announcement that release by the local authority, saying that the gov is encouraging those web service provider like us to put our server in cyber jaya…. the new knock me off my feet man…. hahahaha….. what a joke.

    i couldn’t find any source of further infor bout this thingy, if anyone of u got it, plz share share k?

    cheers guys, let the shit b in its beholder’s arms n let’s hope there would b another service provider to come to save us….

  17. TM Streamyx is the worst service i have ever come across, ive lost count at how many times ive rung their customer support but its complete rubbish. They don’t know anything about internet problems or how to fix them, in the end i have to fix them myself. The internet is either down or the connection is so poor, right now im getting a worse connection compared to 56K!! – it just took me 6mins to logon to Hotmail and this is a regular occurance, they say they’re providing you with a broadband service but really its worse than modem. Streamyx really needs to sort out its problems – if it wasn’t for the fact that i’ve signed a years contract with them i’d look else where. I ADVISE EVERYONE NOT TO SIGN UP WITH TM STREAMYX IT REALLY ISNT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE HASSLE. TMNET STREAMXY BUY MORE BANDWITH FFS!

  18. tat’s malaysia style, u c when mahathir become the PM tat moment, the petrol got increase to 0.30cent or no?? now the petrol price is decrease, every country also decrease the price of petrol, bt u c malaysia? did they decrease the price? u know where is the money going?? think smart la my fren…..

    last time i phond there and wanted to activated my gprs setting,it is a very qustion and should done it in a call….but!!
    it waste me about 2 weeks time to call n call n call to the hotline and repeat n repeat my difficulties…although it is the hotline we no need to pay but it waste my time!!

    I really cant bear with it already, I pay RM88, n get a service that’s worst than 56Kbps Modem speed.
    Are they doing the right job, did the goverment pay the salary to the right ppl, or as long as they are dumb, stupid PIG, they can control our will as their wish, to give this kind of service everyday?
    that’s really annoying and irresponsible for a Big COMPANY to do this kind of service
    I used sg line is much more faster, even I’m using 512Kbps, I can go for download and surfing, without any lagging, but malaysia? with 1 Mbps, without download, the speed is worst than u using 56Kbps modem.

  22. I’ve been getting calls from this streamyx representative name Diana for my outstanding from my last account. I thought that I’ve already been billed and paid for it as I requested them to mail it to my current address. So I ask to mail the statement to me as I’m able to pay and keep track of my record. She said it can not be done without explaining further. So I ignore it thinking that the system made a mistake.
    So today I receive her call again, and she keep pestering me and I still ask about what is the bill is about and she kept saying ‘internet’. I got frustrated with her explaination and ask for another person to speak with me and I even ask for her supervisor. She said in malay ” kalau tak nak bayar, jangan berlagak” and hangs up on me.

    I was furious and called up the customer service and got a person called Kamal. He check my account and explained there was an outstanding bill as it was my closing of my pass streamyx account. He explained clearly to me as why I couldn’t have that bill to be mailed to my address. I found out as well they have been mailing my pass account bill to my old address while I have already told them to mail it to my current address. I ask Kamal whether I can complained about the rude behaviour I have receive and he willingly gave the complain site on the tm net web page.

    I have already lodge my complain and waiting for them to take action. If there’s no action is been done against her, I will keep on doing it till I receive my apology. I’m dissapointed at the level of service they provide plus with the rudeness is just plain pathetic.

    So to Kamal from TM Net, I thank you for your good explaination and help that I did not get from the rude Diana.

    In what Paul said some of the staff are rude and some are not, today I came across the 2 kind. Paul is there anuwhere or anything else I can complain on my situation.

    PS. I refuse to pay the bill till I get my apology.

  23. Whatever the new Wimax or 3G pushing around every corner in the country i would say is all the same
    Is the same with maxis or celcom or digi. Do remember, TMNuts holds the gateway access to international throuting. So even if u get maxis or packet one or etc it will be the same.

    Mind you, remember jaring? Now wat happen to them. Every new co who want to build new internet services will have to go through with tmnuts, why coz the hold the access key. So jaring is doing better? find tmnuts will do their wonders and there goes the drain with jaring.

    It wont bother who the new comer is or are. so long tmnuts say u get this brandwidth thats what you get.

    Till government will to create a truely none monopoly of broadband competition. whatever hear say by any top people are useless and without senses.

    Sorry to hear your situation. Those website for complaining is rather useless.
    Mind you the new system employ by tmnet either in both call center or tmpoint doesnt take much effect on submitting complaints
    For better or rather effective complaint methods or tools , try posting in star or malay mails.
    Complaining to their supervisor, are too useless trust me

  26. they suck a LOT.. for tmnet customer services that read this comment you guys suck.. i experienced this too.. when i call about some problem they always said try restart the modem set the default dns to 202.1889.0.133 202.188.1..5.. dont you know more better aolution.. everytime just same answer.. but basicly your server that suck up… then why tmnet still send SPAM message to their customer .. about promotion lah.. what the FUCK… send about technical error or server is curently down to customer not stupid promotion laa moron..

  29. tm-nut finally sent a technician to my place after month of complaint and complaint, by email (a lot) and call (bunch). i m so lucky because this guy is same kampung with me, and he help me to upgrade from 1.0mbps to 1.5mbps. and this temporary solve my case. but do remember…now with 1.5mbps, i found out that the speed is more or less same with my brother’s one. (he also using 1.0 mbps, but his one is quite good and haven’t facing any slow internet speed yet)

  30. every 1 or 2 month they do system “BILLING UPGRADE” for sure my line will be worst. Why not upgrade your (tmnut) darn hardware but BILLING SYSTEM. Even though you (tmnut) do an upgrade, but please use a backup hardware or what so ever to keep the line going.

    Won’t you (tmnut) feel ashame by keep complaint from customers? A lots of customer call in complaint; do you (tmnut) still insist that your system nothing wrong? Do you (tmnut) really use your (tmnut) brain to think??? (perhaps by using the ass to think)

  32. 头一次看这么澜的公司。现在的更惨了。512k有时候才跑2-5kb/s 而已啊。。 怎么搞的阿。一个月好几天都在专修,什么通知都没有。。 现在连续几天都这样。 lasap tmnet PUI!!

  33. i thing the prob of disconnect all the time is becoz of the cabling of the phone line.i had facing this prob before and i called Telekom,they came to my house and check the connection.they said that this prob comes from a bad cabling..this is becoz of old cabling provide by Telekom after over and over year(condition of copper).after recabling, they clean out carbon of the jumper at the distribution panel(DP) and it seems no interference of phone sound(like distortion sound). and yet the internet connection never been disconnect ever! i suggest to Telekom,they have to check all the condition of phone line(cabling and DP) before they set up the streamyx..thats my opinion..tq…others prob u can call me at 0129111436
